There are bills to pay, with a shitty job
and never any time to play.
I was late to class, my car won't start
no change to take the bus.
I never thought i'd be so alone with such a short shelf life.
At least I have a place to sleep and a uke to kill the time.
But, then I met a homeless man who didn't look so sad.
He slept on a bench everynight and loved to see the sun.
I never thought about how awesome
it is to have so many friends
So many to spend time with.
It's the people I love the most.
Who never give up hope.
Who never feel so hateful for
something not worth a mintue of our time.
The summer's ending, the fall is
coming, it's time to move on out.
The lawn chairs go under the stairs,
and the hammock on the shelf.
We got to finish all the brews we
left in Jmac's fridge.
At least Doug will be happy when he gets
to buy that winter ale
And drink it on a frozen lake, as if he were on vacation.
And drink it at a bar to prevent all of that fustration.
And drink it on a field covered snow you know it's
nothing like our home it's for pre-graduation.
It's the people I love the most.
Who never give up hope.
Who never feel so hateful for
something not worth a mintue of our time.
(I got tuition payments due pretty damn soon)
